Anthony Runacres and Associates Limited is a limited liability company incorporated in New Zealand acting as insurance brokers and consultants on insurance matters.
1981 The Company was incorporated by the principal of the Company, Anthony Runacres.
1986 Absorbed the South Island insurance broking operations of the London based Edward Lumley and Son (NZ) Limited and took over the southern broking operations of the Auckland based Anthony Ryan and Company Limited.
1988 Purchased the business of New Zealand Cash Cover, a New Zealand wide Personal Accident and Health insurance scheme, with over 3000 clients.
1990 Launched a nationwide domestic insurance scheme for a major Canterbury based medical insurer.
1993 Took over the business of Haig Walker Insurance Brokers.
1994 Examined by Lloyd’s of London Tribunalisation Committee and granted Cover Holder Status and Binding Authority. This is Lloyd’s highest level of accreditation for foreign insurance brokers and was the culmination of exhaustive research into Anthony Runacres and Associates Limited and its personnel. Anthony Runacres and Associates Limited is able to commit Lloyd’s underwriters to insurance and settle claims without prior reference. Chairman, Anthony Runacres and Managing Director Peter Lambert both have Coverholder Status at Lloyd’s of London.
1999 The Accident Compensation employer advocates Harland Greene Associates selected Anthony Runacres and Associates Limited as its associate in respect of insurance arrangements under the Accident Insurance Act 1998.
2003 The Company purchased and relocated to an inner city heritage building which it had earthquake strengthened and substantially renovated
2007
The Company became a fully owned
subsidiary of IAG New Zealand Limited,
2009 West Coast Insurance Consultants, Greymouth, became a fully owned subsidiary of Anthony Runacres and Associates Limited
